Why?
I would supply them with a phone so that they can be in contact with Doctors and Families.
Washing and drying Machines are more Complex then Taking it down to a river and washing it there.Food is on of Humans Needs for Survival because of the useful ingredients that are contained in food such as protein, Energy, carbohydrates and Much more then that.
Medicine is Important because it helps to nurture and take care of your skin and whole Body Medicine is great for sickness and Diseases .
Emergency Kits are helpful for cases where u have a painful headache and bad colds.Vitamins keep your body safe and protected they help heal and rebuild your bones, its helps form red blood cells, and gives Great Nutrition to keep you safe and sound.

I really appreciate all of the things you'd like to give to a family in need from the 1930's— most of all I really like how you've given reason to your ideas— well done! washing and drying machines, food, medicine and vitamins is the best gift idea. What type of diseases do you think they were struggling with back then? Don't forget to put your title up in the title heading with SLJ followed by the activity name (Paying it Forward). :)
