  1. Malo e lelei Angelina,

My name is Rachel and I am working with Jordan on the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. It is so cool to see that you have completed an activity and posted it on your blog. Like you, I am also from Auckland but I currently live on the west side of the city in a place called Titirangi. When I first moved to Auckland eight years ago, I actually lived in Papakura with my family. We stayed in Papakura for a couple of years before moving into Auckland. We didn't want to move but I was studying at the university and it was just too far for us to drive in each day. My son, Aronui, was only one year old at the time and he didn't like sitting in traffic for so long. I can't blame him! I didn't like it much either.

Now, we live in Titirangi and spend a lot of our time going for walks in the bush or playing at the local park. Do you spend much time at the park with your family or friends?

I hope that you will be able to continue with the SLJ this summer. I know that Jordan and I will both enjoy reading your posts and learning new things from you. I learned quite a bit from your first post. In fact, I didn't know that the Sky Tower was 328 metres high or that Judith Collins has an office in Papakura. It's great that you can learn these things and then share your learning with us on your blog.

Keep up the great work! We'll check back soon to see if you've time to add another activity to your blog.

    Cheers,
    Rachel
